According to The Empire Files’ official Twitter account, YouTube sent the program a notice saying “We have received a legal complaint regarding your video,” and notifying that the video would be blocked in 28 countries, including the United Kingdom, France, Israel and Italy.

The blocked episode featured an interview with journalist Max Blumenthal about the rise in militaristic and racist attitudes toward Palestinians in Israel.

“US Bombs Syria To Cover Up Lack Of Evidence On Chem Attacks, Discredits Own Claims By Doing So” by Brandon Turbeville (Activist Post)

An excerpt from the above linked-to article follows:

As Vanessa Beeley wrote in her article for 21st Century Wire (which was conveniently attacked and taken down in the days leading up to the strike against Syria) in her article entitled, “The Egregious Western Media ‘Chemical Weapon’ Fraud In Eastern Ghouta,”

The ‘Chemical Weapon’ narrative has sustained the conflict in Syria with alleged attacks being attributed almost entirely to the Syrian government, the Syrian Arab Army and Russia. The seven year information war has been ferocious with NATO-aligned media, think tanks and self appointed experts such as Eliot Higgins and Bellingcat doing all in their power to reinforce the “Syria did it” narrative.

If we were to map the chemical weapon claims in each terrorist held area undergoing liberation by the Syrian Arab Army, we would clearly see that the claims are commensurate with the pressure felt by the terrorist factions as the SAA closes in on their stronghold. In other words, as the SAA nears victory and liberation of Syrian civilians we are expected to believe they would use chemical weapons against those civilians in an urban area which is even more densely packed as the terrorists withdraw into a shrinking combat zone, taking the civilians with them as human shields and hostages.

It appears to be a propaganda tactic employed by the terrorist factions to gain time, secure a ceasefire and to call for a No Fly Zone and further “humanitarian” intervention from the regime-change-war alliance. A ceasefire allows the militants to organise themselves and to re-arm. We know that terrorist chemical weapon attacks against the civilian population in West Aleppo were never given equivalent importance by the same “humanitarian” minded nations, in fact they were largely ignored. Therefore it is reasonable to conclude that crying “chemical weapon” is a tactic designed to protect the NATO-member-state assets occupying Syrian territory.

We need only cast our minds back to August 2013 and the extraordinary BBC Panorama report on the “Napalm-like school bombing” in Urem-Al-Kubra, Aleppo province – Saving Syria’s Children Independent journalist, Robert Stuart, has masterfully and forensically exposed this report to be nothing more than war theatre orchestrated by the BBC in order ratchet up UK military intervention in Syria, coinciding with the time of David Cameron‘s vote in Parliament to join the US bombing campaign in Syria “to deter the use of chemical weapons” by the Syrian government (of course). This BBC report came hot on the heels of the alleged chemical weapon attack in Eastern Ghouta in August 2013 which was immediately blamed upon the Syrian government. Since then, that claim has been discredited by a number of analysts and independent experts.

This alleged attack, reported by BBC Panorama, was naturally accompanied by the familiar witness testimony effectively calling for the World to intervene and bomb for “Peace” – “Dear United Nations, you are calling peace, you are calling for peace. What kind of peace are you calling for? Don’t you see this, don’t you see this? What do you need to see?” from the Telegraph article at the time.

Fast forward to Eastern Ghouta which is now 90% liberated from the many terrorist factions that have occupied this eastern suburb of Damascus since 2012 and we have seen an uptick in the claims of chemical weapon attacks as the SAA noose draws tighter around the terrorist enclaves. Most of those claims are being circulated by the Al Qaeda auxiliary organisation, the White Helmets.

I highly recommend accessing Beeley’s article, which contains numerous photos from Ghouta after the area had been liberated, taken by Beeley herself, that serve as evidence of Western funding and supplying of these terrorists as well as the terrorist chemical weapons capability…

Beeley witnessed all this in the company of mainstream Western journalists who either reported the information with a heavy dose of spin and outright deceit or ignored it completely.

“BBC Reporter Discourages Syria Questions Due To “Information War” With Russia” by Caitlin Johnstone (Caitlin Johnston Rogue Journalist)

An excerpt from the above linked-to article follows:

A BBC interview is making the rounds today among opponents of western interventionism in Syria. The subject of the interview, Admiral Alan West, voiced some much needed skepticism about the establishment narrative around the alleged gas attack in Douma. Everybody’s talking about it because West is an empire loyalist that nobody in their right mind would accuse of being an “Assad apologist” or “useful idiot of the Kremlin”, as anyone else who doesn’t swallow the official story hook, line and sinker is uniformly labeled…

In the latter half of the interview, BBC’s Annita McVeigh asked the following questions after West’s comment about Bosnia:

“We know that the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Friday, or accused a western state on Friday, of perhaps fabricating evidence in Douma or somehow being involved in what happened in Douma. Given that we’re in an information war with Russia on so many fronts, do you think perhaps it’s inadvisable to be stating this so publicly given your position and your profile? Isn’t there a danger that you’re muddying the waters?”

Wait a minute, did that just happen? Did a BBC reporter just suggest that it could possibly be “inadvisable” for a retired naval officer to make public statements questioning what we’re being told to believe about Syria? That the conversation shouldn’t even be had? That the questions shouldn’t even be asked? Because we’re trying to win an “information war”? Did McVeigh really suggest that the intelligence of the same war machine which led us into Iraq on false pretenses should not be questioned at the risk of “muddying the waters”?

“WE’RE BACK – Letter to 21WIRE Readers” by ? (21st Century Wire)

An excerpt from the above linked-to article follows:

=== == =
Dear Readers,

Glad to have you back. Firstly, we would like to apologise for being offline most of last week. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to get back online.

On Tuesday April 10th, 2018 at approximately 2pm EST, sustained a heavy Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) cyber attack and were only able to restore our systems yesterday afternoon. We were not the only ones. Other leading alternative news websites were also hit at this exact time, including South Front, Hands Off Syria (Australia-based antiwar organisation), Fort-Russ, Syria News and others – each covering the situation in Syria closely and truthfully. Based on the number of page requests or ‘bots’ that were hitting us each hour, this seemed similar to what happened to Craig Murray’s blog two weeks prior. In addition to the online attacks on alternative media outlets, Facebook was blocking similar content on their platform – including South Front who appealed and were eventually reinstated. Based on these facts, we believe that it’s not “highly likely” but 100% certain that the party(s) attacking us and other similar platforms did so on behalf of a state actor – and in the interests of prosecuting another illegal war by way of deception based on a false pretext.

“YouTube Terminated Our Unblemished Channel Without Warning” by ? (Activist Post)

An excerpt from the above linked-to article follows:

A couple of weeks ago we were surprised to find our YouTube channel completely deleted with the message “This account has been terminated due to multiple or severe violations of YouTube’s policy against spam, deceptive practices, and misleading content or other Terms of Service violations.”…

Prior to having our channel seized, we were in perfect standing with YouTube. We were in the YouTube Partners program and most of our content was ad-friendly. We didn’t have a single complaint or strike against our account. All content was original or posted with permission. There were no personal attacks. If anyone was offended by our content, they were offended by ideas about peace and individual freedom. It’s becoming a common theme, though, as we’ve also been removed from participating in two major ad networks: Google Ad Exchange and Amazon’s CPM Ads programs. Both of which we had been using for some time without issue.

“Fisk puts to test the free-press myth in Douma” by Jonathan Cook (BSNEWS)

An excerpt from the above linked-to article follows:

Until his arrival, all the information we were receiving about Douma in the west originated not with on-the-ground reporters, but with jihadist groups or those living under their Islamist reign of terror. That was true of the Youtube videos, the accounts from western reporters based far off in other countries, the human rights organisations, the World Health Organisation, and so on. The fog of war in this case was truly impenetrable.

So [Robert] Fisk’s arrival was a significant event. He was clearly aware of the journalistic burden on his shoulders…

But the content of what he reported was incendiary. Just a few days after the US, UK and France had bombed Syria, in violation of all principles of international law, on the grounds that the Syrian government had used chemical weapons in Douma, Fisk interviewed a doctor at the clinic where the victims were treated. He said no chemical attack occurred…

The Guardian now has an enormous output of articles, not least its Comment is Free section. So it would be foolhardy of me to say with absolute conviction that the Guardian made no reference anywhere in its pages to Fisk. But if it did so, it was extremely well concealed. A Google search of “Fisk”, “Guardian” and “Douma” throws up nothing. I can locate nothing in searching the Syria news articles and the op-eds published in the physical newspaper either.

So the Guardian appears to have intentionally blocked its readers from learning about the Fisk report, even though it is highly relevant to an informed debate about western actions in Syria, actions that are themselves part of a political debate being led by [Jeremy] Corbyn.

“‘Youtube’ removes video tribute to Yaser Murtaja and other Gaza victims as ‘sensational’ incitement” by Philip Weiss (Mondoweiss)

An excerpt from the above linked-to article follows:

Check out this stirring anthem to freedom in Gaza. It begins with a Palestinian child saying “We shall overcome” and an image of Martin Luther King Jr. and then in many still pictures of the “Great March of Return” conveys the strength of the unarmed resistance to the blockade–including the killing of Yaser Murtaja, the Palestinian journalist who was one of six Palestinian journalists shot by Israeli snipers on April 6.

The imagery is by Sana Kassem, and the video was posted by Norman Finkelstein yesterday on youtube. The song is “Wings to Fly,” by Susan Boyle. The copy accompanying the video was simply: “A video dedicated to the people of Gaza as they struggle to break out of Israel’s infernal prison.”

Then Youtube took it down today, Finkelstein says, and he and Kassem have posted it now on Vimeo.

“Flemish Priest Father Daniël Maes Living In Syria Exposes The Truth The Western Press Ignores” by Bahar Azizi (SOTT)

An excerpt from the above linked-to article follows:
Each week, a newsletter written by Father Daniël is published, in which he describes his experiences and thoughts on the situation in Syria. After the liberation of East Ghouta, with the help of much needed donations and NGOs such as Hand in Hand voor Syrië who have provided containers full of relief goods – Father Daniël and others have been lending a great helping hand to the people liberated from the area…

That is sadly the truth. Mainstream media in Western countries have not published a word about the murderous actions of these so-called ‘moderate rebels’, or about how President Assad is loved – and not hated – by a great majority of the Syrian people, or about the actions of the Syrian army and allies that have saved so many lives. All we hear are hysterical accusations, with no evidence provided.

“Las Vegas print shop refuses to print JVP banner over Israel politics” by Seth Morrison (Mondoweiss)

An excerpt from the above linked-to article follows:
Valley Press was recommended as a union shop that did excellent work for progressive causes at fair prices, so I asked them to print our banner. Initially everything was smooth. I talked to Sheila Hacco, the CEO who answered my questions, gave me a quote and agreed to lay out the banner and email me a proof. Seeing the many positive online ratings and the work for HRC and the AIDS Walk left me confident that this was a company I wanted to do business with.

Sheila promised a proof in a few days but when it did not arrive I emailed asking when I could expect it and I got the following response:

Hi Seth,

I am sorry but I will have to decline making this banner for you. I had to check your website before moving forward. How sad that this is a one sided voice and some very false. I was born in Israel and was thought hope and peace, would love to see peace in my life time, would never want to see anyone die or suffer but with the type of information I just read and saw from, all it does is spread lies, create hate and leaves no solutions.

It seems that your organization is really not explaining so much.. I would have loved to do a banner for peace, but this is not one of them.

If you believe in peace, you should learn more and give both sides a true chance.

Needless to say, I was amazed. The Colorado courts agreed with the ACLU in ruling that a reasonable person would assume that the cake expressed the message of the couple, not the baker. Is a banner any different? Sheila has every right to personally disagree with JVP’s position on Israel and Palestine but no right to use her printing company to censor our speech. Valley Press’s name is not on the banner.

“Blocked By Facebook and the Vulnerability of New Media” by Craig Murray (Craig Murray)

An excerpt from the above linked-to article follows:

This site’s visitor numbers are currently around one third normal levels, stuck at around 20,000 unique visitors per day. The cause is not hard to find. Normally over half of our visitors arrive via Facebook. These last few days, virtually nothing has come from Facebook…

What is especially pernicious is that Facebook deliberately imposes this censorship in a secretive way. The primary mechanism when a block is imposed by Facebook is that my posts to Facebook are simply not sent into the timelines of the large majority of people who are friends or who follow. I am left to believe the post has been shared with them, but in fact it has only been shown to a tiny number. Then, if you are one of the few recipients and do see the post and share it, it will show to you on your timeline as shared, but in fact the vast majority of your own friends will also not receive it. Facebook is not doing what it is telling you it is doing – it shows you it is shared – and Facebook is deliberately concealing that fact from you.

Twitter have a similar system known as “shadow banning”. Again it is secretive and the victim is not informed. I do not appear to be shadow banned at the moment, but there has been an extremely sharp drop – by a factor of ten – in the impressions my tweets are generating.
