“How the Media Keeps Americans in the Dark about the Slaughter in Yemen” by C.J. Werleman (American Herald Tribune)

An excerpt from the above linked-to article follows:

(o
A somewhat grainy video, presumably shot from a decade old cell phone, shows more than two dozen load Yemeni kids, aged 6 to 15, playing, laughing, and excitedly moving about their school bus, invoking warm childhood memories for anyone who has ever caught a bus to and from a school outing.

Moments later every single one of these kids were killed, vaporized by a Saudi fired missile.

This atrocity took place on 9 August, leaving 51 dead, 40 of whom were children, with most victims under the age of 10, while another 77 were seriously injured, according to the International Red Cross.

The US Department of Defense has tried to downplay the United States role in what must surely constitute a war crime and/or a crime against humanity by either arguing it’s still investigating the matter or by disingenuously minimizing its involvement.

“We may never know if the munition [used] was one that the US sold to them,” Army Maj. Josh Jacques, a spokesperson for US Central Command, told Vox. “We don’t have a lot of people on the ground.”

Well, we do know who sold Saudi Arabia the missile, and there are plenty of Yemeni journalists and international aid agencies in Yemen “on the ground.”…

Maybe the most dangerous reality of the Trump presidency might be the media’s obsessive want to over analyze every tweet, off-hand remark, and gaff made by the current occupant of the White House, which, in turn, places television news networks at the centre of what has been a more than a 3-year long psychodrama if you count the 2016 election campaign.

The media’s obsession with this obviously unhinged and deranged US President comes at the cost of informing the American public of the horrors that are occurring in their name and with their tax dollars in countries many voters can’t even find on a map.

Jihad Watch founder Robert Spencer

“Mastercard Forces Patreon to Remove ‘Jihad Watch’ Founder Robert Spencer From Platform” by Cristina Laila (IGO News)

An excerpt from the above linked-to article follows:

=-=-=—
Robert Spencer is the author of 18 best-selling books and is demonized and labeled as an ‘Islamophobe’ just like Pam Geller simply for speaking the truth.

Patreon is a platform where bloggers, singers, artists etc can provide an income stream through ‘patrons’ or their ‘fans.’

But just like every other platform, Patreon is proving to be a place that only provides a service to people who bow down to the globalist agenda.

Robert Spencer said he was booted from the platform without warning at the request of Mastercard–the kicker? Robert Spencer doesn’t even have a Mastercard account!
—=-=-=

Robert Spencer lambasts the “Left” for going after Conservatives like him. Fair enough, but I am annoyed with his failure to qualify ‘Left’. The Left he is referring to is fake and rightwing. Real leftists, like Noam Chomsky, would never support censorship. Also, The term ‘Conservative’ is somewhat problematic. Republicans, for example, are rightwingers. Their Party, which is no longer truly a political Party, as Noam Chomsky points out, used to be Conservative and rational. At one time, ‘conservative’ was not a dirty word, even if it wasn’t a pristine word. So, when you say that you’re Conservative, does that mean ‘Conservative’ or ‘rightwing’?, for they are, in fact, two different things. It’s clear to me that savvy rightwingers know the difference, but deliberately tone down their perversity by referring to themselves and their class-mates as Conservatives. Ira Stoll, who wrote “JFK, Conservative,” would be a good example of such a rightwinger.

Sayed Mousavi, the Iranian student journalist whose Twitter account was suspended in a “fake news” crackdown on Iran

“Big Tech Corporations Are Now Censoring Iranian Social Media Accounts – A Banned Student Journalist Speaks out” by Ben Norton (The Real News Network)

An excerpt from the above linked-to article follows:

[-
Big Tech corporations in the United States have tightened their social media dragnet, censoring accounts that criticize the US government and its allies.

In a Russiagate hysteria promoted incessantly by the US government and corporate media, social media accounts that were identified by shady private cybersecurity firms as supposed “Russian trolls” were targeted first. Then pro-Venezuelan government websites like the state-funded media outlet TeleSUR English and even the independent Venezuela Analysis had their Facebook pages temporarily removed.

Now Silicon Valley has set its sights on Iran. While the Donald Trump administration is banning Iranians from traveling and imposing suffocating sanctions on their country, Big Tech is banning them from using social media.

Google (which owns YouTube), Facebook (which owns Instagram), and Twitter have removed hundreds of Iranian social media accounts that have been accused — without any evidence — of being linked to the government in Tehran. These suspensions were based on a questionable, thinly sourced report by the American cybersecurity firm FireEye, which is led by former US military officers.

“Facebook Kills “Inauthentic” Foreign News Accounts – U.S. Propaganda Stays Alive” by Bernard (Moon of Alabama)

An excerpt from the above linked-to article follows:

|o
The anti-Russian mania in U.S. politics gives social media companies a welcome excuse to clamp down on promotional schemes for sites like Liberty Front Press by claiming that these are disinformation campaigns run by the U.S. enemy of the day.

Yesterday Facebook announced that it deleted a number of user accounts for “inauthentic behavior”:

We’ve removed 652 Pages, groups and accounts for coordinated inauthentic behavior that originated in Iran and targeted people across multiple internet services in the Middle East, Latin America, UK and US. FireEye, a cybersecurity firm, gave us a tip in July about “Liberty Front Press,” a network of Facebook Pages as well as accounts on other online services.

We are able to link this network to Iranian state media through publicly available website registration information, as well as the use of related IP addresses and Facebook Pages sharing the same admins. For example, one part of the network, “Quest 4 Truth,” claims to be an independent Iranian media organization, but is in fact linked to Press TV, an English-language news network affiliated with Iranian state media.

The FireEye report Facebook acted on notes:

FireEye has identified a suspected influence operation that appears to originate from Iran aimed at audiences in the U.S., U.K., Latin America, and the Middle East. This operation is leveraging a network of inauthentic news sites and clusters of associated accounts across multiple social media platforms to promote political narratives in line with Iranian interests. These narratives include anti-Saudi, anti-Israeli, and pro-Palestinian themes, as well as support for specific U.S. policies favorable to Iran, such as the U.S.-Iran nuclear deal (JCPOA).

Based on an investigation by FireEye Intelligence’s Information Operations analysis team, we assess with moderate confidence that this activity originates from Iranian actors.

The evidence FireEye presents is quite thin. The purpose of its inquest and report is obviously self-promotion.

Moon of Alabama is also promoting anti-Saudi, anti-Israeli, and pro-Palestinian themes. It supports the JCPOA deal. This is, according to FireEye, “in line with Iranian interests”. It may well be. But does that make Moon of Alabama a “suspected influence operation”? Is it an “inauthentic news site”?

Is the @MoonofA Twitter account showing “coordinated inauthentic behavior” when it promotes the pieces presented on this site? We, by the way, assess with high confidence that that this activity originates from a German actor. Is that a reason to shut it down?

Who will shut down the tons of “inauthentic” accounts U.S. spies, the British military and Israeli propaganda organisations run?

“Google Bans 39 YouTube Channels For Ties To Iran; Facebook and Twitter Ban Accounts” by Aaron Kesel (Activist Post)

An excerpt from the above linked-to article follows:

====:-
Google claims 39 YouTube channels were connected to Iran and part of a covert Iranian-backed operation to spread propaganda to U.S. viewers and 49 were part of a Russian-backed operation to spread disinfo, PC MAG reported.

According to PC MAG, the propaganda campaign disguised itself by pretending to be several independent media websites, one of which was called the Liberty Front Press.

Further digging shows the cybersecurity firm FireEye investigated the media group and alleges uncovered evidence that it actually originates from Iran…

The suppression of information is happening. Are you paying attention? Our society is becoming more and more Orwellian — don’t think for yourself, we will think for you, is becoming the motto of Silicon Valley. Ultimately, they are censoring and shadow banning some individuals completely out of the conversation, which has ironically spawned social media alternatives like Steemit and SoMee.Social.

For YouTube, see the alternative BitChute which Activist Post interviewed earlier this year when YouTube begun purging the alternative media.

“Abby Martin’s ‘Empire Files’ series forced to shut down as US sanctions stifle alternative voices” by ? (RT News via Axis of Logic)

An excerpt from the above linked-to article follows:

+-+-+—
The Trump administration’s sanctions on Venezuela have not just weakened the country’s economy but have deprived millions of viewpoints questioning the US policies, as Abby Martin’s show on TeleSUR shut down citing financial woes.

“From inside history’s biggest empire…recording a world shaped by war & inequality” – The Empire Files’ (TEF) airs on TeleSUR, a latin-American TV network that derives most of its funding from the Venezuelan government. Abby Martin, a former RT journalist now hosting TEF announced on Wednesday that the show would completely shut down its operations, citing the tough US sanctions on Venezuela’s socialist government as responsible.

The Empire Files has released over 100 documentaries and eyewitness reports from around the world, from the US to Israel to Venezuela, and is known for its unapologetically leftist, anti-imperialist message. Its staff haven’t been paid since May, when the US government responded to what it called the “sham” election of President Nicolas Maduro with further sanctions, blocking all wire transfers originating in Venezuela.

“Saudis Move to Behead Woman Activist as Facebook Censors Anti-Saudi Content” by Randi Nord (Geopolitics Alert)

An excerpt from the above linked-to article follows:

==== === == =
Riyadh (GPA) – Saudi prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for a 29-year-old woman activist for crimes such as chanting slogans at a protest. Beheading a woman is unprecedented in the kingdom. Meanwhile, Facebook has sprung into action to protect Riyadh’s back by initiating a crackdown on hundreds of accounts posting anti-Saudi content.

*Saudi prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for five activists with non-violent charges.

*All of the activists belong to the kingdom’s historically oppressed Shia minority. One is a woman.

*Facebook has coincidentally begun removing anti-Saudi accounts under the guise of fighting “Iranian interference.”

*A private cybersecurity firm with ties to the US military tipped off Facebook to the accounts.

One of these activists includes a woman named Israa al-Ghomgham who was arrested three years ago. Although Saudi Arabia has killed or injured several thousand women in neighboring Yemen, beheading a female is completely unprecedented inside the Kingdom thus far.

All of the activists reportedly took part in protests in Saudi Arabia’s town of Qatif — a heavily Shia Muslim region frequently under siege from Wahhabi Saudi forces.

the monstrous George Soros

“Leaked 49-page memo documents how George Soros is behind social media censorship” by Alex Christoforou (The Duran)

And excerpt from the above linked-to article follows:

(=-
A new leaked memo obtained by The Free Beacon documents how George Soros funded groups plotted with Google, Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms to eliminate conservative “right wing propaganda.”

The recent wave of censorship of conservative voices on the internet by tech giants Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Apple mirrors a plan concocted by a coalition of George Soros-funded, progressive groups to take back power in Washington from President Trump’s administration.

A confidential, 49-page memo for defeating Trump by working with the major social-media platforms to eliminate “right wing propaganda and fake news” was presented in January 2017 by Media Matters founder David Brock at a retreat in Florida with about 100 donors, the Washington Free Beacon reported at the time.
-=)

As I noted in a comment that I attached to the above article, “There’s an awful lot of harmful spin attached to this article. George Soros et al are not leftwing. They are fake leftwing. Even worse, the author calls them ‘radical leftwing’. That only serves to conflate the real, and real ‘radical’, Left with the fake, rightwing, resource-rich Left. Seriously folks?!!” Is Alex quoting others? Fine, but considering how misleading this language is, he should add some explanatory comments.
