Covid 19 – Links And Excerpts – March 23, 2020

There were a few things Del said in the above linked-to video that didn’t sit well with me. The last I heard (from The Duran), Boris Johnson changed his mind about the herd immunity approach and is following the example of the US instead. Also, I wasn’t impressed with Del’s insistence that the virus originated in Wuhan. We don’t know that. For example, there’s evidence (from a few sources, including Nathan Rich, whose info American Vagabond looked at in a vid that I linked to in one of my earlier posts on covid 19) that this virus came from Fort Detrick (a biomedical facility, aka a biowarfare lab), now closed due to poor containment practices. See also the entries, below, by Wang Fuhua and Larry Romanoff. Del seemed to be okay with doctors taking plasma (blood) from people and giving it to others. Del’s Christianity is nothing like mine. The Christian Bible expressly forbids eating blood. Why do you eat anything? You eat in order to live. Does Del believe that Jehovah God is the source of life or not? Del also seems unaware that the functional Darwinian model of evolution is dead. It was slain by the structuralist model explained by people like Michael Denton. (See Michael Denton’s most recent book “Evolution: Still A Theory In Crisis.”) Del’s presentation is otherwise excellent. I’m glad he knows numbers as well as he does.

“A fiasco in the making? As the coronavirus pandemic takes hold, we are making decisions without reliable data” by John P.A. Ioannidis (STAT)

An excerpt from the above linked-to article follows:

))[
The current coronavirus disease, Covid-19, has been called a once-in-a-century pandemic. But it may also be a once-in-a-century evidence fiasco.

At a time when everyone needs better information, from disease modelers and governments to people quarantined or just social distancing, we lack reliable evidence on how many people have been infected with SARS-CoV-2 or who continue to become infected. Better information is needed to guide decisions and actions of monumental significance and to monitor their impact…

The one situation where an entire, closed population was tested was the Diamond Princess cruise ship and its quarantine passengers. The case fatality rate there was 1.0%, but this was a largely elderly population, in which the death rate from Covid-19 is much higher.

Projecting the Diamond Princess mortality rate onto the age structure of the U.S. population, the death rate among people infected with Covid-19 would be 0.125%. But since this estimate is based on extremely thin data — there were just seven deaths among the 700 infected passengers and crew — the real death rate could stretch from five times lower (0.025%) to five times higher (0.625%). It is also possible that some of the passengers who were infected might die later, and that tourists may have different frequencies of chronic diseases — a risk factor for worse outcomes with SARS-CoV-2 infection — than the general population. Adding these extra sources of uncertainty, reasonable estimates for the case fatality ratio in the general U.S. population vary from 0.05% to 1%.

That huge range markedly affects how severe the pandemic is and what should be done. A population-wide case fatality rate of 0.05% is lower than seasonal influenza…

…A positive test for coronavirus does not mean necessarily that this virus is always primarily responsible for a patient’s demise…

If we assume that case fatality rate among individuals infected by SARS-CoV-2 is 0.3% in the general population — a mid-range guess from my Diamond Princess analysis — and that 1% of the U.S. population gets infected (about 3.3 million people), this would translate to about 10,000 deaths. This sounds like a huge number, but it is buried within the noise of the estimate of deaths from “influenza-like illness.” If we had not known about a new virus out there, and had not checked individuals with PCR tests, the number of total deaths due to “influenza-like illness” would not seem unusual this year. At most, we might have casually noted that flu this season seems to be a bit worse than average. The media coverage would have been less than for an NBA game between the two most indifferent teams…

In the absence of data, prepare-for-the-worst reasoning leads to extreme measures of social distancing and lockdowns. Unfortunately, we do not know if these measures work. School closures, for example, may reduce transmission rates. But they may also backfire if children socialize anyhow, if school closure leads children to spend more time with susceptible elderly family members, if children at home disrupt their parents ability to work, and more. School closures may also diminish the chances of developing herd immunity in an age group that is spared serious disease.

“Coronavirus Crackdown – Beware “the new normal”” by Kit Knightly (Off Guardian)

An excerpt from the above linked-to article follows:

||.|
A few days ago James Corbett posted a video titled “Is this THE big event?” the answer to that increasingly looks to be “yes”.

Not the virus itself, you understand, which official statistics still show to be minor compared to annual flu outbreaks. But rather, what it’s being used for. The West’s vestigial democratic forms, and slowly atrophying civil liberties are facing a final assault from draconian authoritarians sensing (or creating) their big moment.

Spain is enjoying “martial law in all but name”, while Italy is likewise bringing in the army.

In France, Macron has “declared war” on the coronavirus, essentially locking the entire country up inside their homes unless they have “a good reason” to leave. A reason which must be submitted in writing to the police.

Public gatherings are of course strictly forbidden. Elections are halted.

No word yet on what the Gilets Jaunes plan to do. There is a march – Act 71 – planned for today. Will it go head? If so, will they be met with more violence? Maybe. Only now instead of being ignored by the media they will be branded “selfish” for putting “members of the public at risk”…

We’ve gone over the numbers countless times. They don’t add up. The agenda is outstripping the statistics. The coronavirus, in pure numbers terms, is a rounding error on the annual flu season. The Swine Flu “pandemic” of 2009 was 10x more widespread and 100s of times more fatal…did any of this panic porn appear? Did it “change what normal meant”?

No, it was just a new type of flu. It passed, there was media hype, of course, but the world remained the same.

The time for arguing over whether the CFR is 2% or 3% is done, because even if the disease is as bad as they are reporting, none of it can justify the Orwellian nightmare that Britain (and much of the rest of the developed world) is turning into.

People with platforms need to focus on this…
|.||

I have a platform, for now. Also, I don’t agree with Kit’s definition of fascism, but have no problem with his info otherwise. People tend to mystify and disappear the idea of fascism. It’s not mysterious. When the political and capitalist classes join forces and take over everything, cutting the people out – which is what comes naturally with Corporatocracy – then you have fascism, just as Benito Mussolini said. The fact that you can vote is not proof that you have not been cut out of the decision-making of your government. (Most of the world, therefore, lives under fascism.) Some evil things associated with fascism may or may not be in abundance everywhere. That’s another subject.

“COVID-19: Targeting Italy and South Korea? “The Chain of Transmission of Infection”” by Larry Romanoff (Global Research)

An excerpt from the above linked-to article follows:

(O
A high-level Italian virologist, Giuseppe Remuzzi, has published papers in the Lancet and other articles in which he states facts not hitherto known.

The doctor stated that Italian physicians now recall having seen:

“a very strange and very severe pneumonia, particularly in old people in December and even November [2019]. This suggests that the virus was circulating, at least in Lombardy, and before we were aware of this outbreak occurring in China.”

Chinese medical authorities have determined the same underlying phenomenon, that the virus had been circulating among the population for perhaps two months before it finally broke out into the open

Before February 20, 2020, there were only three cases of coronavirus infection in Italy, two tourists from Wuhan, China, confirmed on January 30th, and an Italian man who returned to Rome from Wuhan on February 6th. These were clearly imported cases with Italy experiencing no new infections during the next two weeks.

Then suddenly there appeared new infections that were unrelated to China. On February 19, the Lombardy Health Region issued a statement that a 38-year-old Italian man was diagnosed with the new coronavirus, becoming the fourth confirmed case in Italy. The man had never traveled to China and had no contact with the confirmed Chinese patients.

Immediately after this patient was diagnosed, Italy experienced a major outbreak. In one day, the number of confirmed cases increased to 20 and, after little more than three weeks, Italy had 17,660 confirmed cases…

South Korea’s experience was eerily similar to that of Italy, and also to that of China. The country had experienced 30 imported cases which began on January 20, I believe all of which were traceable to contact with Hubei and/or Wuhan.

But then South Korea discovered a “Patient No. 31”, a 61 year-old South Korean woman diagnosed with the new coronavirus on February 18. This ‘local’ patient had no ties to China, had had no contact with any Chinese, and no contact whatever with any of the infected South Koreans. Her infection was a South Korean source…

For both Italy and South Korea, I could also add that there is no supposed “bio-weapons lab” anywhere within reach (as was claimed for China), but that wouldn’t be accurate. There are indeed bio-weapons labs easily within reach of the stricken areas in both Italy and South Korea – but they belong to the US Military…

The Korean path is similar with that of Italy. If we look at a map of the virus-stricken areas of Italy, there is a US military base within almost a stone’s throw of all of them. This is of course merely a case of circumstance arousing suspicion, and by no means constitutes proof of anything at all.

However, there is a major point here which cannot be overlooked, namely the fact of simultaneous eruptions of a new virus in three different countries, and in all three cases no clear epidemiology, and an inability to identify either the original source or a patient zero

Multiple experts on biological weapons are in unanimous agreement that eruptions in a human population of a new and unusual pathogen in multiple locations simultaneously, with no clear idea of source and cases with no proven links, is virtually prima facie evidence of a pathogen deliberately released, since natural outbreaks can almost always be resolved to one location and one patient zero. The possibility of a deliberate leak is as strong in Italy and South Korea as in China, all three nations apparently sharing the same suspicions.

Regarding the above article by Larry Romanow: Just wow! *edit, April 6, 2020 – Seeded via microdrones?

An excerpt of the above, linked-to “The Last American Vagabond” show can also be found on Bitchute. I noticed that Rolling Stone changed the title of their article since Ryan’s video showed a copy of it. I don’t think there’s any real significance to the change. Probably RS is just taking steps to keep the war-making State off its back. Take a look:

“DOJ Wants to Suspend Certain Constitutional Rights During Coronavirus Emergency” by Peter Wade (Rolling Stone)

“Ten Questions for the U.S.: Where did the Novel Coronavirus Come From?” by Wang Fuhua (Global Research)

“The Coronavirus and the New World Order. “War is in the Air”” by Dr. Rudolf Hänsel (Global Research)

An excerpt from the above linked-to article follows:

\\-\\
On 11th March 2020 the “Neue Rheinische Zeitung NRhZ” drew attention (in the article “Two Corona Mosaic Stones“) to a publication by the German government in January 2013: the “Information from the German government – Report on risk analysis in civil protection 2012” (printed matter 17/12051 of 3rd January 2013). In it, frightening similarities with what is currently happening can be seen – in particular by explicitly mentioning the “SARS coronavirus (CoV)”. The scenario presented, in which the spread, course, duration, mortality etc. are described, goes as far as to make a drastic restriction of fundamental rights necessary.

The scenario states in this respect:

“The competent authorities, first of all the public health authorities and primarily the public health officers, must take measures to prevent communicable diseases. The IfSG [Infektionsschutzgesetz] allows, among other things, restrictions of basic rights (§16 IfSG), such as the right to inviolability of the home (Article 13 (1) GG). Within the framework of necessary protective measures, the fundamental right of personal freedom (Article 2 (2) sentence 2 GG) and the freedom of assembly (Article 8 GG) can also be restricted (§ 16 (5) to (8) and § 28 IfSG). In addition to these measures to be ordered directly by the public health officer, the Federal Ministry of Health can order by statutory order that threatened sections of the population have to take part in protective vaccinations or other measures of specific prophylaxis (Article 20 (6) IfSG), whereby the right to physical integrity (Article 2 (2) sentence 1 GG) can be restricted”.

A further report from 9 March makes one sit up and take notice: Two months before the outbreak of the coronavirus in the Chinese city of Wuhan, a group of experts conducted the pandemic simulation “Event 201”, which was organized by John Hopkins University in the US and came to alarming results. The aim was to test how governments and authorities would behave in the event of a global pandemic with “potentially catastrophic consequences” and what effects it could have. The virus used to do this was called CAPS: Coronavirus Associated Pulmonary Syndrome. It was estimated that 65 million people would die. (See this)

Has the ruling “elite” agreed to conduct a long-planned laboratory experiment with the civil society of the countries worldwide at the beginning of 2020? Which states and institutions are responsible for participating in this “sinister coup”? What role do the superpowers China, USA and Russia play?
//-//

I very much like the questions that Dr. Hänsel is asking, because I don’t trust most ruling classes. Those targetted by Nazi America for regime change I trust somewhat. I don’t trust the others at all. Also, Dr. Hänsel mentions a weapons-grade virus. What is the definition of a weapons-grade virus? If anything at all, including bugs both annoying ‘and’ seriously dangerous, can be used as a weapon then what does ‘weapons-grade virus’ mean?

As for Dr. Hänsel’s musings about the coming new world order, the (very few) readers of my blog will know that I don’t subscribe to the view that there will be a coming new world order (of imperfect humans). I subscribe to the view that it is here. Is it always consolidating? Of course.

“Facebook, Reddit, Google, LinkedIn, Microsoft, Twitter and YouTube issue joint statement on misinformation” by Catherine Shu, Jonathan Shieber (Tech Crunch)

An excerpt from the above linked-to article follows:

==== === == =
In an unprecedented move to reassure customers and flag the potential for misinformation about COVID-19 on their platforms, all of the major social media companies and their parent corporations issued a joint statement on their efforts.

“We invite other companies to join us as we work to keep our communities healthy and safe,” the statement read.

Last week, U.S Chief Technology Officer Michael Michael Kratsios held a remote meeting with representatives from major tech companies on how to coordinate various efforts related to COVID-19, including fighting disinformation. The Washington Post and Politico reported that the White House asked Google, Facebook, Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, IBM, Cisco and Twitter for help.

The World Health Organization’s director-general said last month that disinformation is as dangerous as COVID-19. During an address at the Munich Security conference on Feb. 15, almost a month before the WHO officially declared COVID-19 a pandemic, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said “We’re not just fighting an epidemic; we’re fighting an infodemic. Fake news spreads faster and more easily than this virus, and is just as dangerous.”

Got that. Censorship is for your safety! I wonder how the families of the Reuters journalists who were murdered by psycho American soldiers feel about the war-making State’s treatment of the two people most responsible for revealing that sort of behavior by the American benefactors in power? It’s not just the truth about viruses that the war-making State, on behalf of special, powerful, capitalist interests doesn’t want people to know. Is it?

Meanwhile, What is Wikileaks’s record for truthtelling? 100%. The Washington Post, New York Times, CNN, Fox News, American government et al? On foreign policy and politics and things related to vaccines, the record is AWFUL!! Remember people. Much of the funding for television comes from Big Pharma. (Here in Canada, I’m sure Big Pharma has made inroads. The biggest funder of Canadian media, however, may be the Canadian military, as Yves Engler explains in great detail in “A Propaganda System – How Canada’s government, corporations, media and academia sell war and exploitation.”) Del Bigtree mentions it in a video linked-to in my blog post titled “Corproate Media – A Terrifying Addiction.” I don’t know the details about that, and I’m sure Del’s knowledge pertains mainly to America, but we here in Canada watch much of the same tv. And everyone in the English-speaking world is also getting the same crap news from their smart phones. People may come to regret owning smart phones. (I would have bought a flip, or slide, phone today had any of those stores been open. They weren’t.) What makes it terrifying, besides the fact that corporate media are essentially just nothing more than propaganda organs for the war-making Corporatocracy State, is that they are creating panic, by lying to and misinforming people, and in that way turning citizens against each other. Absolutely everyone could just simply not think and accept as truth all that the war-making State and its tools and allies are telling us, as it abuses us. That would, perhaps, keep people from turning on each other. If there are no ‘traitors’ among us, then we’re good!

“Israel Joins Totalitarian States Using Coronavirus to Spy on Citizens” by Barbara Boland (The American Conservative)

(In case YouTube deletes James’s non establishment show, you can find it on Bitchute at this link: https://www.bitchute.com/video/l2ZRT-gWZ8M/)

A comment I left on James Corbett’s dot com website follows:

“Citizen against citizen. James is right [about] cheers from the public for attacks on the non conformists, are the norm. I’ve already experienced it. Randolph Bourne, again:

“The gregarious impulse keeps its hold all the more virulently because when the group is in motion or is taking any positive action, tihs [sic] feeling of being with and supported by the collective herd very greatly feeds that will to power, the nourishment of which the individual organism so constantly demands. You feel powerful by conforming, and you feel forlorn and hopeless if you are out of the crowd. While even if you do not get any access to power by thinking and feeling just as everybody else in your group does, you get at least the warm feeling of obedience, the soothing irresponsibility of protection.””

“As cynical as many Americans may think the members of the choir are, the choir is frequently not cynical enough about the power elite’s motivations. No matter how many times they’re lied to, they still often underestimate the government’s capacity for deceit, clinging to the belief that their leaders somehow mean well. As long as people believe that their elected leaders are well intentioned, they can, and do, get away with murder. Literally.” – pg 13 of “America’s Deadliest Export: Democracy” by William Blum
